We only have one life to live, and honestly it sounds scary when you say it like that — one chance, one opportunity, one experience, one choice at a time. But really that isn't true.
This brand is based around philosophy because life is so much more than the one time that we get to live it. Why are we here and more importantly, what is it we're here to do?
These questions hold so much weight in society and evoke so much stress and anxiety that we forget the very reason we really are here — to live.
To experience, to take chances, to jump at opportunity, to make choices right and wrong. And these aren't supposed to happen once. Just because we have one life doesn't mean we have one chance. Everyday we go through these things and they shouldn't be accounted for in one big ball but instead individually.
We love, we cry, dance, shout — that's what we're here to do, to feel. I wanted to create a brand that somehow emulates those feelings into art, wearable art, a reminder that we're human and no matter how many times society tries to convince us there is no one way in this journey of life.
We will always doubt, question, fall short — but that's what makes life, life.
But if you really want to live a fulfilling life — and I mean truly — you must be All In.
You must be ready to succeed and ready to fail, ready to understand and also at times be totally confused. I've been asked many times what 'The Mortal Gambit' really means and I think I finally know the answer.
It represents the journey of a life not eternal, the things that we do, the people that we love and the choices we make along the way — the individual choices we make along the way. I want to remind people we all have a story and we get to decide how it's told.
